There seems to be a limited number of remotes that can be programmed. I watched a video how to adapt the key for 6L chassis and tried to do that with genuine vcds but something is wrong and I can't adapt the key. It shows the 2 keys in the system but doesn't let me add 1. From the comments on this thread it would seem that this needs to be done by a dealer using vag. Your owners handbook actually contains information on how to program the fob yourself continually pressing remote buttons while out of range of the vehicle will cause loss of pairing If you dont have your handbook purchase one on ebay for your vehicle for about a £10 this will save trying the various reprogramming techniques which can cause all your keys not to function.

Can anyone give me some advice on how I can re-programme a Seat key fob? Non of those type products work, period. I just bought a new replacement fob with an uncut blade on Ebay. You can try to replace the fog light bulb now or remove the two 10mm bolts and slide the fog light assemble… The air filters are in the top black plastic housing on top of the engine, The entire housing lifts off, no screws just rubber gromets 4 hold it in place. It may seem like a curious statement, however it is essential for our Vehicle Locksmith to know the circumstances. . Is there anything I am missing here? As I understand the situation the key now needs to be linked to the vehicle using the seven digit code supplied with the original keys.
