The cube is a death trap but we don't care if the characters die off because we never really get to know these people. Cube 2 is merely a high budget sequel that doesn't make sense. That is mentioned in many sources, e. Hmmm, I don't think that this motley crew could find their way out of a paper bag. Frown as they reappear out of another dimension like the shopkeeper from Mr Ben.
This still doesn't stop bad script and bad acting making this a real turkey. The logic was rooted in mathematics and was understandably explained to the movie goer. There would, at least, be national scrutiny and satellite imagery would no doubt find the location of the Cubes, unravelling Izon entirely. It doesn't have any atmosphere - getting rid of the dark metal and coloured lighting makes it look more like a trendy wine bar than a twisted death machine! It's really not too hard to pick out the movie's psychotic loose cannon. You didn't know when you might be sliced, diced and canaried. Could you either indicate why you believe that interpretation was wrong with reference to applicable guidance or past discussion or that you will support its removal.
The project is government-run and has been tested quite a few times as we learn of the operatives. There's no originality and precious little entertainment value. The cube project is has been tested many times for research. What happened to the first cube? I concur with your cannibalism theory, there's no other way he would have survived. And throws at the seven new characters. While the hypercube itself exists in a place well and truly beyond the three dimensions of the world as we know it, the cast and the story's realisation barely manage to make it in to the first.
The special effects are a bit 'clean' looking, but very smart. Here there is no solution, just an endless parade of overacted paranoia and techno-drivel. And, seeing them gonthrough with it, the govt just sat back and watched what izon did… Power corrupts, and izon has corrupted to the point of chipping soldiers, and tossing kidnapped dissidants into cube to hush them up if they oppose izon. It was a psychological thriller trying on the Science Fiction coat, and it worked to perfection. And each one had a specific talent that made up the puzzle in getting out of it i. .
This is not Kate because she is standing on the other side of the room. The cube itself was a suped up version of its predecessor and it wasn't any better. The older woman supposedly has superior mathematical ability that should be able to decipher what the number 60659 means in each room, but she is too senile to do so! If you like it, watch Cube Zero afterwards. Quantum physics also deals with alternate universes and warping time. The first one was good because it aimed at being a horror flick primarily and was more phsycological.
The problem is that once again a film about hacking and math is made by goofy artistic types who have some notions based on old movies but no concept of the amazing depths of the real world. My math isn't good enough to get me out of a cube but I know when things don't add up. The people in the first movie actually all had to work together to get out of the Cube. Gravity operates at a different angle in some rooms, time operates at a different pace in other rooms so that at time, they see other people alternately sped up or slowed down, and of course, doors open up into alternate realities and points in time, which allows them to constantly meet different versions of themselves. Yes it has a bigger budget and flashier special effects.
There are a lot of different ways you could go with this theme, if you decide to attribute more significance to the God question. The cube is still there, just as gloomy and lethal as ever and in far more vividly gross ways , but the group of people inside the box are at least as important as the people watching them. Just as the surface of the cube consists of 6 square faces, the hypersurface of the tesseract consists of 8 cubical cells. Fans of the first one absolutely should see this movie, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the new things Hypercube throws at you. And just to re emphasise in case it disappears with the thread switch, it is not just a matter of sourcing, please see my initial post in the thread above. Never mind the fact that even though she can barely move from room to room due to her blindness, she has miraculously waltzed into the Hypercube! It could have been so much better.
Projects get lost in govt red tape all the time. The support team would be rather large but primarily concerned with keeping the primary players happy, healthy and motivated; presumably, this would include various means for them to play with their creation. Unless you had seen the first movie and were actually expecting focus on character archs, you would find yourself thinking how terribly predictable the characters are. Kind of like the film Identity. On the second issue, I indeed seem to have misunderstood you. The sole survivor of the whole sorry mess gets offed casually.
